bwLehrpool: door signs and info boards: The functionality behind the bwLehrpool info screens cannot only be used for door signs, but also for searching free computer pool spaces.
Pool rooms at Computer Center closed on July 22 and 23, 2019: Due to an E-Exam the pool rooms -100, -113 and -114 at the Computer Center will be closed the whole day on July 22 and 23, 2019. The Windows Pool -110 will still be open. You might also consider using the new pools at Werthannstrasse 4 (building to the left of the University library).
UniCard guest cards: Production system (old) outage at Computer Center: Due to technical difficulties, the production of UniCard is still not possible. The technical support of the developer has been contacted. Extending or blocking already exisiting UniCard guest cards is not affected by this.

Update: Hardware error TSM: arch and arch2 out of service: Update: The root cause of the failure is a faulty voltage regulator. A replacement is on the way and will arrive tomorrow. Due to a hardware failure on the IBM server the TSM servers arch.uni-freiburg.de and arch2.uni-freiburg.de are not accessible. The duration of the outage is unclear, the maintenance technician has been informed.
-completed- Shelving of switched off, inactive VMs in bwCloud SCOPE Freiburg region: In the Freiburg region, the switched off, inactive bwCloud SCOPE VMs were shelved. Users can restart inactive VMs at any time. Resources allocated to the VMs were now made available for general use.
UniCard production system issues at Computer Center: Due to technical difficulties, extending or making new UniCards at the computer center is not possible at the moment. How long this will last is unknown.
26.06.2019: Wifi eduroam - change in root certificate: On July 9, the Telekom root certificate is expiring. For this reason, we will change the certificate in the eduroam wifi to the new root certificate on June 25, 2019. Should you encounter any issues regarding authentication after the change, deleting the wifi profile and reconnecting with the eduroam wifi usually helps. Should you still need help, please contact your local administrator or beratung@rz.uni-freiburg.de
Seventh cluster advisory board meeting for NEMO operation and governance: On June 24, 2019, the seventh meeting of the NEMO cluster advisory board took place. This meeting was about the operational and scientific governance of the large research infrastructure that is run by the eScience department at the Freiburg University IT Services in the bwHPC state association.

Shelving of switched off, inactive VM in the bwCloud SCOPE Freiburg region: In the Freiburg region the switched off, inactive VMs of the bwCloud SCOPE are being shelved. Users of this inactive VM have a week left to start their VMs.

TSM: Currently no copy of the archive data to Heidelberg: The colleagues in Heidelberg were forced to shut down their TSM environment due to a technical error. Therefore, no archive data or data from crucial IT Service computers can be copied to Heidelberg.
Applications for new UniCard guest cards currently not possible: Please note that due to vacation break no new UniCard guest cards will be produced up until June 18.
Changed opening times for printing service at Computer Center: Due to vacations replacement, the opening times of the printing service have changed
