2024-03-27 10:08: ZOOM campus license is extended
The ZOOM licenses will be extended for a further 2 years from the end of April. As part of the extension, we are currently preparing the transition to the DFN framework agreement for "ZOOM X", which will be hosted by Deutsche Telekom in the future. We assume that the transition can be made seamlessly at the end of the previous license and that there will be no or only minor changes for users.

Fraudulent e-mails from the sender 20.12@internet.ru are currently circulating in many places, pretending to come from the university.
2024-03-06 14:10: "Save the Date" 10th HPC Symposium on September 25/26 in Freiburg
The bwHPC Symposium will take place for the tenth time in 2024 - this time again in Freiburg. It is an established platform for scientists to exchange ideas with the operators of large, federated research infrastructures for scientific computing. The event assumes an interface function that allows central and socially relevant topics such as energy and resource efficiency to be addressed. The development of open software for research and operation benefits from a personal meeting at a common location, where both new ideas and best practices are presented and discussed.
2024-03-04 08:52: The Citavi campus licence will be continued
The reference management software Citavi Desktop and Web will be extended from 2024-04-01.
2024-02-27 09:14: bwLehrpool-remote available again
#ufrstatus bwLehrpool-remote is available again with immediate effect (27.02.24, 9:15 am). However, the pool rooms in Werthmannstraße 4 (with the exception of rooms 2 and 7) and in the computer center will remain closed until approx. 12 noon due to the test.

#ufrstatus Due to a large e-exam, the PC pools of Werthmannstraße 4 and the computer center will be occupied from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, 27.2.24. This does not affect rooms 2 and 7 of Werthmannstraße 4, which are reserved for free learning. bwLehrpool-remote will be available again from approx. 12:15 pm.

New phishing emails are currently on the way, which refer to an allegedly expiring password. The sender is info@joman.ooguy.com
bwLehrpool-remote and pools Thursday 8-10 a.m. not available
#ufrstatus Due to a large e-exam, the PC pools of Werthmannstraße 4 and the computer center will be occupied from 8 - 10 a.m. on Thursday, 22.2.24. This does not affect rooms 2 and 7 of Werthmannstraße 4, which are reserved for free learning. bwLehrpool-remote will be available again from approx. 10:15 am.
2024-02-16 15:54: PC pools not available on Monday, 19.02.24, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
#ufrstatus Due to a large e-exam, all PC pools in Werthmannstraße 4 and in the computer center will be closed on Monday, 19.02.24 from 8 am - 6 pm. This also applies to the places reserved for free learning in Werthmannstraße 4. Please switch to the places in the UB or one of the decentralized rooms.

Maintenance work on the system was carried out and has been completed. This has not affected the mail service.
2024-01-22 10:49: Marking of external emails in the subject line from 25 January 2024
In response to the increasing waves of phishing, from 25 January 2024 all emails that do not come from the university's (central) mail servers (ZUV and Communigate) will be marked with the addition [EXTERNAL] in the subject line.

Due to a current security vulnerability in Google Chrome, you should update your browser as soon as possible.
2024-01-18 11:58: Screenpresso maintenance extension
The data center has renewed the maintenance for Screenpresso. All employees can now use the latest version of Screenpresso.
2024-01-11 12:00: CMS web server/certificate changeover completed
#ufrstatus The issue of new certificates announced at the end of last week due to a change of certificate provider and the associated change to the central CMS web server has been completed.
