The University IT Services ("RZ") is the IT service provider for the University of Freiburg. The RZ has been the central operating facility since 1966. We provide the IT infrastructure for the university. On our web pages you will find all information about our tasks and services.

A maintenance window is planned for Thursday, 5 March 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Access to the service will remain possible. There may be brief delays in loading times. The purpose of the maintenance is to improve the service and resolve issues with multiple email deliveries.

2026-03-02 15:29: Wednesday, 4 March 2026, from 1 p.m. onwards: urgent maintenance work on the telephone system Mar 02, 2026 03:36 PM #ufrstatus #wartung #stoerung Next Wednesday, 4 March 2026, starting at 1 p.m., our service provider will be carrying out urgent maintenance work on the telephone system. This will primarily affect the OpenScape UC softphone environment, including chat. There will be several interruptions, and ongoing calls via OpenScape UC will be disrupted from 1 p.m. onwards. Calls via landlines should not be affected. The service provider has not yet been able to tell us the total duration of the maintenance work, but it should be completed by the end of the working day at the latest.
