The University IT Services ("RZ") is the IT service provider for the University of Freiburg. The RZ has been the central operating facility since 1966. We provide the IT infrastructure for the university. On our web pages you will find all information about our tasks and services.

All VMs in Freiburg will be paused and will not be automatically restarted afterward. Non-computing services (such as APIs) and other regions should not be affected by the power cut. The reason for this is the general power cut and recovery test taking place at the University IT Services of the University of Freiburg from 07:30 to 10:30. Maintenance work will take place from 11:00 to 13:00, which will not affect service quality or availability.
