The University IT Services ("RZ") is the IT service provider for the University of Freiburg. The RZ has been the central operating facility since 1966. We provide the IT infrastructure for the university. On our web pages you will find all information about our tasks and services.

On Wednesday 4 November 2026, between 06:00 and 07:00, we will be installing new firmware on various firewalls. During the installation of the update, the firewalls must be restarted to activate the new firmware. The ‘restart’ may briefly interrupt the following services/access: access to the BelWü network and the internet, telephony service, DNS name resolution, VPN access (general and ZUV VPN), bwSFS, bwCloud, OSVDI, Nemo, email (Uni / ZUV Exchange), HisInOne, Wi-Fi, and general administrative services. |
