- bwLehrpool: Change in the pool of the teaching building of the Medical Faculty
- In the course of modernizing the pool of Medical Education, the existing bwLehrpool installation was converted to the new pool concept with its own subnet.
- Technical failure: various services and systems not available - UPDATE
- due to unknown reasons some services are currently not available - ILIAS and the wiki server are among others affected. Update: since about 12.00 all services are available again. The cause of the problem is still unclear.
- Spam wave with encrypted ZIP files attached
- Since 2 days a wave of spam has been observed in Freiburg schools and PH (Freiburg University of Education). The BelWü (the data network of the scientific institutions of the state of Baden-Württemberg/"Baden-Württemberg extended LAN") is about to implement defense measures.
- bwLehrpool available in Campus Management (Hermann-Herder-4)
- The newly established computer pool of the Campus Management department also offers bwLehrpool.
- New calendar backend of electronic door signs
- Due to an upcoming change in the HISinOne, the calendar backend of the electronic door signs used at various locations on campus was changed. This should have no effect on the actual display.
- General switchover to https
- All websites in the Content Management System of the University of Freiburg are now only accessible via https.
- Setting up bwSFS (Storage-for-Science) begins in the Uni IT Services Building
- In the meantime three racks have been filled with the storage components of the bwSFS system. The power and network cabling will be done in further steps. Parallel to this, the definition of the various user roles and interfaces on the system for offering customized storage and RDM services will be carried out.
- Build up of bwSFS (Storage-for-Science) begins in KG II
- Today, with the help of our IT Services operating group, the setting up of bwSFS (Storage-for-Science) has started in machine room III (redundancy location B in the basement of KG II). After commissioning, the system will provide support in the active handling of research data for NEMO and bioinformatics communities and ensure the entry into long-term research data management.
- bwLehrpool - door signs and information boards
- [Update 4.9.2020] The functionality behind the bwLehrpool info screens can be used not only for door signs, but if necessary also to search for currently free computer pool places.
- ZOOM Video conferencing system fault
- We receive messages that the access to online meetings with zoom is disturbed and incomprehensible error messages are displayed.
