Upgrade mail and telephony storage on January 7 and 8, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. onwards
Modification or upgrade of the mail and telephony cluster on January 7 and 8, 2021 starting from 8:00 am. The mail system will be temporarily out of operation on these days. Incoming mails will still be accepted and buffered by our mail gateways. The VoIP telephony servers may experience individual disruptions.
On the above mentioned days the storage system of our mail and telephony cluster will be rebuilt and extended. The mail system will be unavailable for a longer period of time during the reconstruction work. However, all mails coming into the University of Freiburg will be accepted by our mail gateways and buffered accordingly. Mails accepted in this way will then be delivered to users with a delay.
VoIP telephony together with the UC servers will also be affected by this change. The conversion is planned in such a way that telephony will continue to operate without outages, but there may be individual disruptions here.
