Move of the secondary file server system (between 06.03., 4 p.m. and 07.03., 4 p.m.)

On Wednesday, March 7, the secondary file server system, which is used among other things for securing our main file server system, will be moved to our second location in the KG2. By doing this, an improved Geo redundace will be provided for our main system.

For the move, the storage system will already be turned off and partly dismantled on Tuesday, March 6, at around 4 p.m.

On Wednesday the system will be transported to the KG2 and set up again in an expertly manner with the help of the system provider.

The works should be finished by Wednesday at around 4 p.m.. During that period, no backups of data on the main system can be made on the secondary system.  Due to the functioning of our main system, the data will still be secured against multiple hard drive failure. Hence, there will be no interruptions in the day-to-day work.
