Broken switch in the bwCloud SCOPE
This weekend, a switch in the bwCloud SCOPE failed. The API is back to running normally, however, work is still being done in the compute area.
This weekend, one of the core switches of the bwCloud SCOPE was down for still unknown reasons. The reason is a hardware defect. The switch could not be booted anymore and was therefore taken down from the University IT Services network department on Monday morning. After initial tests, the API could be started again. As soon as the compute nodes are back to running, the cloud will be back online. Since it is a redundant switch, there should not be any further failures.
