bwLehrpool failure resolved
This morning, there was a total failure of the bwLehrpool system, which was resolved at 10:17 a.m. The trigger was a rogue service that repeatedly created gigabytes worth of logs and then disappeared. We have solved the problem and are taking measures to ensure that such mistakes to not occur in the future.
A script in the web server, which delivers the configuration for the bwLehrpool clients, failed overnight. Shortly after, this led to log flies being modified with errors, so that the configurated hard drive capacities were not sufficient. Unfortunately, the web server did not deliver any more data, as no log could be written.
