17.12.2022 10:40: Psychology building / Engelbergerstraße currently without power as a result of the power failure

At present, it is known that the psychology/Engelbergerstrasse area has no network connection.

Tonight there was a widespread power failure between 01:00 and 06:00 in Freiburg, especially in the area of Stühlinger, Mooswald and the Technical Faculty. Afterwards, all systems and network components of the computer centre will be checked. All central systems and servers located directly in the computer centre have already been checked since 07:00 and are not affected by the power failure.

All other network components are still being tested. It is currently known that components of the Faculty of Technology were down, but they are largely back online. The Engelbergerstraße / Psychology connection is still being checked. At the moment, it must be clarified together with other institutions whether the failure affects the power grid or only the internet connection / switch failure.

We ask the affected areas for patience or, in urgent cases, to switch to home offices over the weekend.
