Information session: hybrid teaching opportunities on 7/20-21, 9 a.m.

Tuesday, 20.07. - 09:00 - 10:00h (by zoom) for lecturers/course organizers of the University of Freiburg

Prorector Prof. Dr. Michael Schwarze invites you together with the teaching support units to learn about the possibilities of implementing hybrid teaching* in preparation for the winter semester. We will present suggestions for scenarios as well as technical solutions & pre-equipped rooms for the organization and implementation of hybrid events.

9:00 Welcome - Prorector Prof. Dr. M. Schwarze.
 
9:05 Overview - Dr. Nicole Wöhrle, Department of E-Learning (University IT Services/RZ)

  •     Possible teaching scenarios that can be implemented hybridly
  •     Technical framework & available infrastructure (loan devices, Meeting OWL& seminar rooms with Logitech Rally).



9:20 Inputs:

  •     Organization of event groups for hybrid teaching settings with HISinOne - Annika Hartwig, Dept. Campus Management (RZ).
  •     Transmission & recording with Panopto / equipped lecture halls - Jörg Zembruski Media Center (UB)
  •     Hybrid use of PC pools on the basis of bwLehrpool for computer-based courses - Christian Rößler, Dept. E-Science (RZ)

* Hybrid teaching describes the interaction of classical face-to-face and online teaching. Conceivable are e.g. scenarios in which a part of the students is present on site in the lecture hall/seminar room and a part is connected live from home.
