09.01.2018: Old BSCW server offline

As previously planned, the University IT Services took the "bscw server" off the grid at the end of 2018. It had been in operation since 2004. Since 2017, the alternative "group server" ("Arbeitsgruppenserver"), which also runs on the basis of the BSCW system, is available.

The BSCW server, which had been in operation since 2004, had become redundant and the operation thereof was thus ended at the end of 2018. Users trying to access the old URL https://bscw.uni-freiburg.de are automatically redirected to this page.

Since the end of 2017, the IT Services department has been running the new service "group server" ("Arbeitsgruppenserver") under the URL https://groups.uni-freiburg.de. The group server runs on the same BSCW system, which makes the switch to and the usage of the new system easy.
