Name server (DNS)
The data center operates a name server (DNS - domain name server) for the unique identification of computer number and associated address.
In order for your computer to be identified and addressed in the university network and thus also in the worldwide Internet, it requires a network-wide unique address. This can therefore not simply be negotiated between the users of individual institutions within the university.
The IP addresses of the name server are:
