27 November 2025, 12:05 p.m.: Announcement of maintenance on bwCloud-OS Freiburg on 3 December 2025

Dear bwCloud-OS Freiburg users,

On 3 December 2025, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., maintenance work will be carried out on the bwCloud-OS at the Freiburg site. This will only affect customers of bwCloud-OS Freiburg.

During maintenance, all VMs will be stopped and will NOT be restarted automatically. After maintenance, users must start their VMs themselves.

Maintenance serves as preparation for the bwCloud OS launch in the new year and includes:

• Renovation work in the server room

• Repairing hardware faults

• Installing firmware updates

• Minor updates to the OpenStack compute nodes

• Moving all VMs to other compute nodes

• Adjustments to DNS delegation
